Jeff Henssen's name and career are closely linked with Dance Club Blue Silver. The Club is proud of this long association and owes much of
its success to him.
While Jeff's first exposure to dancing was at the age of 16 in Holland, he studied in England with some of that country's top teachers and went on, with his partner Barbie Cameron, to represent Canada twice at the World Championships, making the semifinals in Modern and placing seventh in Latin. They achieved further success by winning the first-ever World Jive Championship.
Following his retirement from competition, he continued to pursue a long career inspiring and training many talented dancers. Among them Canadian Modern and Latin Champions, North American Champions and Professional Champions.
Jeff also trained many juniors who have attained success, among them, Fred and Tina Sturm, and Brian Torner. In recent years he had put a lot of couples on the road to success. Most recently, Phillip Lee and Patricia Goh.
For all of this, we say, "Thanks, Jeff!"
